Trend watcher and futurologist Richard van Hooijdonk is the closing keynote speaker at Basware Connect Solutions on June 20, 2018. He will speak about disruptive technologies and show what impact this has for finance departments.
During Basware Connect Solutions 2018 in Utrecht, Basware, together with partners ICreative and Ricoh, will show what is possible with the latest technologies and there will be a special focus on Basware's cloud solution Alusta SaaS. In addition to user success stories and informative sessions about the software, Richard van Hooijdonk will take visitors into the future at the end of the meeting.
Van Hooijdonk increasingly notices that thinking ahead, which he believes is very important for survival, is difficult for people. 'Many companies, institutions, governments, but also hospitals, do exactly the same thing every day, which means they are not prepared for ever faster changes. They are not made to change and stick to existing processes,' says Van Hooijdonk. 'Getting ready for the future starts with daring to let go of old values and models, and that requires a different mindset.'
During his lecture, Van Hooijdonk will show, among other things, how to approach such a mindset change.
