Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier (HHNk) has started working with a procurement solution provided by Ede-based ICreative. With the software, the water board aims to automate the process from procurement to payment. ICreative's solution is based on Basware Alusta invoice software and Kofax data capture software, integrated with Unit4's existing Fis2000 financial system and Corsa document management system.
Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier is one of the larger Dutch water boards. In 2015, the water board decided to automate its entire procurement process. After a selection process, ICreative was selected to supply and implement the system.
With the current solution, Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier has automated the process from procurement to payment with advanced procurement techniques such as punch-out catalogs. Incoming invoices are automatically linked to order and receipt lines at line level, allowing them to be processed automatically. It also uses contract management and automatic budget control through the financial system.
With the new software, the water board expects to better monitor and improve the procurement and financial process at both the operational and strategic levels. Some 475 order takers, budget holders and approvers are now using the new system.
