"An ideal world we all want," says Danny Kind, sr. product manager ICreative. "A world where you no longer receive paper invoices from suppliers and all digitally submitted invoices have the same file format, so they are processed automatically and error-free. As if we were all speaking the same language, you might say". But, as long as this ideal world does not exist, emulating it is the best alternative.
Construction, healthcare, banking or municipal agencies: they all work in their own way. One delivers invoices in the form of a PDF, another chooses paper and the next for another specific data format. Danny: "That requires a platform that, basically like an interpreter does, converts all the different languages into a readable whole in the form of XML." In plain Dutch: an e-invoice. This can be achieved with a Basware Network, which can also be used the other way around - for your invoices to your customers.
The result of deploying a network that converts documents (especially invoices) in various forms to a specific XML format is interesting. Fast, automatic and error-free processing is the result. Add to that less paper consumption and the picture is complete. The government has also discovered the advantages; they increasingly demand that their suppliers work in XML formats. Danny concludes, "We believe that the ideal world is in the making. At least, in the field of e-invoicing then."
