IDC has named Basware a leader in the global vendor assessment for SaaS and cloud-enabled Accounts Payable automation solutions. This IDC MarketScape study covers the criteria important to companies when selecting a system.
The IDC MarketScape provides a picture of the suitability of ICT vendors in a given market. The research methodology includes a scoring methodology based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria that results in a single graphical representation of each vendor's position within a given market.
In its survey of software vendors of Accounts Payable solutions, the report identifies Basware Network and its ability to integrate Basware Purchase-to-Pay with more than 250 different ERP systems as strengths contributing to its position in the Leaders category.
'Basware is particularly attractive to complex international enterprises with multi-ERP environments that need to automate different types of invoices,' explained IDC analyst Kevin Permenter. 'Its integration experience - not only with ERPs but also with direct procurement, SRM, VMS and tax solutions - is invaluable in an era when software solutions must fit into a larger application landscape.'
The survey further specifically notes that Basware "provides visibility into all spend" and "helps its customers mitigate financial and reputational risk. This underscores Basware's promise to provide companies with 100 percent visibility on their spending using guaranteed vendor connectivity and data collection.
'As one of the largest open global networks, we already support vendors with multiple options so they can easily switch from paper to electronic with an option that works best for them,' says Sami Peltonen, VP P2P Solutions at Basware. 'Moreover, we are always innovating, adding more options to the mix that further reduce manual effort. One example is SmartPDF AI, a new solution that automatically captures invoice data through artificial intelligence.'
