Analyst firm Gartner has once again positioned Basware as a "leader" in the Magic Quadrant for procure-to-pay software. Gartner based the positioning on an evaluation of the software's capabilities and interviews with users.
In the Magic Quadrant Procure-to-Pay Suites, Gartner contrasts the perfection of the market vision of procure-to-pay vendors with the ability to execute that vision with their products and services. In the report, Gartner evaluates thirteen software vendors. At the bottom left of the quadrant are the niche players, at the bottom right are the visionaries, at the top left are the challengers and at the top right are the leaders. Basware is positioned as a leader for the fourth time in 2019.
The analyst firm uses surveys, interviews with software users and extensive demos to evaluate vendors' vision and their ability to bring it to fruition with products and services. Leaders, according to Gartner, are those that other vendors in the market measure themselves against.
'We attribute our position to the ease of use of our core purchase-to-pay functionality, our open global network, our deep expertise deployed globally and our extensive integration capabilities. We believe that all of this combined provides a holistic view of customers' supply chains,' said Basware CEO Klaus Andersen. 'If you have the right technology, then you can leverage this insight to make informed strategic decisions, whether you want to optimize processes, reduce costs or mitigate risks.'
